My name is Jackie Sturgeon. I have been in the Cosmetology Industry for the last 47 years. For over 40 years, I was the Co-Owner and President of Blades Salon and Spa, which was consistently voted as one of the top three Salons in Louisville. During that time, I’ve had opportunities including many TV appearances, magazine articles, photoshoots, fashion shows, benefits, and training of numerous hairstylists. I became highly involved in the art of hair replacement including extensions, wigs, women’s toppers, men’s toupees, and started a non-profit organization for children called Cool Cuts. So for the last 25 years, hair replacement has been my major passion.

 

As of July 1, 2017, and at age 63, I have retired from managing up to 50 employees at a time and closed Blades. What an awesome run! After having cancer 10 years ago, my passion for helping people with hair loss is major. Now I have joined a group of great friends at VERT'U Salon, 102 Cannons Ln, and continuing my passion for hair replacement.
